Ceylon Pickle League ("CPL", "we", "us") operates the CPL mobile app for pickleball league management — player registration, team rosters, match schedules, scores, and standings. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and how it's handled. It applies to the iOS and Android apps only.
01 Information we collect
Only what you give us when you create an account or build your player profile. We don't run background tracking, ads, or analytics SDKs.
Account credentials — email address and password, used to create and sign in to your account.
Full name — collected at registration and shown on your profile.
Profile photo — optional; you choose a photo from your device's library to set as your profile picture.
Player profile details — optional, only if you register as a player: gender, age, nationality, dominant hand, and DUPR ID / DUPR singles and doubles ratings.
We do not request microphone, contacts, location, or phone-number access. The app only asks for photo-library access, and only when you choose to set a profile picture.
02 How we use it
Authentication — email and password verify your identity and keep your account secure (including one-time-code email verification at signup).
League operations — your name, photo, and player details appear on rosters, standings, and match records so organizers and other players can identify you.
Session persistence — your login session is stored on your device so you don't have to sign in every time you open the app.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
03 Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. We don't share your data with anyone beyond what's needed to operate these services.

04 Storage & security
Account and profile data is stored in our Supabase database. Your login session token is stored securely on your device to keep you signed in. We rely on Supabase's infrastructure security and access controls to protect stored data; no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we don't take that as license to be careless with it.
05 Retention & deletion
You can request account deletion from within the app. Once requested, your account enters a 7-day grace period — if you sign back in during that window, the deletion request is automatically cancelled and your account is restored as-is. After 7 days without a sign-in, your account and associated profile data are permanently deleted.
06 Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
07 Your choices & rights
Access & correction — update your name, photo, and player details any time from your profile in the app.
Deletion — request account deletion from the app as described above.
Optional fields — profile photo and player details (gender, age, nationality, dominant hand, DUPR info) are optional; you can use the app with just an email and name.
08 Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your information, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
